On the Aphex Twin’s birthday (today), a new LP has been announced, his first since Drukqs in 2001. SYRO is slated for release on 21 September. A green blimp floating in the skies above Oval, South London, and the appearance of the Aphex logo outside Radio City Music Hall in New York, came as a precursor to the new album announcement, tweeted by Aphex Twin on his Twitter Account, details of which were only readable with the underground Tor browser. Details are below, complete with two new images; an Aphex Logo in lime green, plus a new image titled ‘foldface’. (Numbers in parentheses following the track title presumably denote BPM). To be released on Warp Records (WARP247 / WARPCDD247) on Download, CD, Triple Vinyl (plus MP3 download code) and Limited Vinyl (300 copies) which you can only ‘win’ by entering a ballot.
