RIP Jack Tramiel

Jack Tramiel, pioneer of the Commodore 64 home computer, has died aged 83. Before founding Commodore Int’l he opened Commodore Portable Typewriter in the Bronx in 1953. He was a taxi driver in his spare time. After purchasing MOS Technology Inc., he went on to launch the Commodore PET, VIC-20 and then the fabled Commodore 64.
