Adobe MAX – New Photoshop Deblur Tool Demo

Adobe have been holding their MAX event and have been showing off a new deblur tool which may or may not make future versions of Photoshop (did I spy a leaked version of Photoshop CS6 online today?)

The chief tech waller was wheeled onstage to show some ‘before and after’ shots – blurred then unblurred.  The gasps from the gathered nerds was quite audible, as was the gasp from yours truly.  Here are two samples Adobe used in their presentation.

Click on the image to enlarge, then click again to make it full size.

It works by creating an algorithm that decides how the direction of the blur occurred.  Then it reverses the movement and voilà – no blur.  It’s very impressive.

*UPDATE*

Just been told the tool doesn’t appear in the pre-release version of CS6 that’s doing the rounds.
