£499 for the 16GB, £599 for the 32GB and £699 for the 64GB – black or white – preorder now at the Apple Store (LINK) for 14 October release. The iPhone 4 is still available, but only in 8GB capacity. Not sure why anyone would bother with it.
Looks like the initial batch of 4S’s has run out. Delivery is now expected for between 1-2 weeks. This happened with the unprecedented demand for the ‘4’ last year (if you were following the Blog saga then I had to wait weeks for mine, AND make an eight-hour round trip in order to get it!) Not sure how many phones there were available to all carriers in the UK, but I hear that in the US, AT&T alone had 200,000 units which they sold out of in less than 12 hours. It’s rumoured to be the quickest sellout of an iPhone to date.
The new iPod Touch comes in two colours and three capacities – 8GB, 32GB and 64GB. Prices are £169, £249 and £329 in the UK. Again, they’re available with iOS5 from 12 October. These are likely to fly out too, so if you want one, get in and pre-order NOW!
The iPod Classic IS still available at the Apple Store. Comes in brushed silver or black, with one capacity of 160GB. Priced at £199.
New 2011 iPod Nano
Seven colours (including a Product Red model). Two capacities – 8GB and 16GB. Priced at £115 and £129, so if you are gonna get one, get the bigger one: twice the capacity for only £14 more. I don’t know why Apple bother with a small capacity one if the price difference is gonna be so piddly.
Apple say that over a million 4S’s were pre-ordered in the first 24 hours. Amazing.
