Sorry to hear that Conrad Schnitzler, founder of Kluster and early member of Tangerine Dream, has died of stomach cancer. He was 74.
Born in Dusseldorf in 1937, Schnitzler was said to influence everyone from Eno to Radiohead and Boards of Canada. He opened the Zodiac Club where Tangerine Dream and Kraftwerk played early shows. In his lifetime he recorded over 100 pieces of music, including ’00/830′ just days before his death.
