Apple’s new iPhone 5 will start production in August and be available in September, according to a new report.
The iPhone 5 will closely resemble the current iPhone 4, but will sport Apple’s custom A5 chip, an 8MP rear-facing camera, dual LED flash and, of course, iOS5. The next iPad is believed to have a Retina Display similar to the iPhone 4, but will have a third greater resolution and a more responsive touchscreen. The new screen could display 2048×1536 pixels. Last week, Taiwan’s ‘Economic Daily’ reported that the display in the iPad 3 “could be 5-6 times higher resolution”. If that’s the case, the pixel density would be in the region of 330 and 396ppi. That could be a bit much. Devs may have to tweak their apps accordingly to work with the potentially amazing display on this new device.
