iPhone App Store ‘Purchased’ Changes

Want to thank James for telling me that the changes have already been made to the App Store on iPhone.  When you click on ‘Updates’, there’s now a ‘Purchased’ section, for all apps purchased, and those NOT currently installed on the device.

Main Updates Page showing the new PURCHASED tab at the top.
The ALL tab lists all the apps you've previously purchased.
And the list of Apps NOT currently installed on the device.

James also points out that in Settings – Store, the Automatic Downloads thingy has been implements for automatic updates.

Automatic Downloads of new purchases made on other devices.

  1. fantastic. now all I need is the ability to remove the multiple dozens of diddly squat free apps in the list that i downloaded, tried once *AND FREAKIN’ DELETED*.

Hey, Appleguys – if I DELETED it that generally means I DIDN’T WANT IT ANYMORE. Why are you bringing back things from the dead that I DELETED months ago?

    1. Doesn’t look like you can – at least, not from the device. Stupidest thing Apple have ever done? Hm. Not sure about that. Putting a metal antennae around the outside of the iPhone 4 was pretty dumb.

  2. Is there a way to disable this feature? There are many apps and games which I have deleted; which means I am bored of them and wanted to clear them away but now the list is just full of them again. Real annoying…

    1. As far as I know you can’t switch this off. I’ll let you know if I find a solution to it, unless someone else knows in the meantime …
