Mid-Week Roundup

It’s claimed that the ‘iPad 2‘ may not have the super-hi-res display I spoke of last week.  It’s said that it’ll be more likely a 1024 x 768 effort, with better brightness and less power consumption.  Hope not.  A ‘retina display’-type model would be superb.

Some leaked cases for the iPad 2 show that the device may have a Mini Display Port as well as an SD Card slot.

Rumours are out there again that the white iPhone 4 may be available from late February 2011.

Apple’s first quarter profits rose 77% to $6 Billion.  They also posted record revenue of $26.74 Billion for the three months prior to 25 December 2010.

A future Apple Magic Mouse may feature a multi-touch display, according to a recent patent application.

FaceTime and PhotoBooth may make appearances on the new iPad 2.

iPad 2 will start being built in February.  iPhone 5 will undergo construction in May 2011.
