Verizon iPhone 4: 10 February 2011 (Updated 12.1.11)

Apple and Verizon in the US have just announced the availability of the iPhone 4 from 10 February.  Preorders are being taken a week before that on 3 February.  Pricing is $199 for 16GB and $299 for 32GB models.  There is an online check for iPhone pricing for Verizon Wireless Account holders HERE.  GeekBeat say that a mobile hotspot that can support up to five devices is included.  MORE

The Personal Hotspot feature that comes with the CDMA version of iPhone 4 may be rolled out as an update (known as iOS 4.3) to all existing GSM-based handsets in the future.

The source of the information has proved to be correct on a couple of occasions in the past when rumours of Apple updates have abounded.  The feature can be found in the phone’s settings, where wifi can be turned on or off, and passwords changed.  They also say that the feature will only be enabled if the carrier so desires it.
